Space Grunts 2 - a strategic game whose action takes place in the atmosphere of science fiction with clearly defined mechanics typical of the genre "Roguelike". The game is a continuation of the first part, but is very different from its predecessor - primarily enriches the well-known formula solutions characteristic of card games.

Events occur in the Universe, known from the original. Setting demonstrates explicit inspiration from the works of science fiction in the 1950s - there are many colorful aliens, impressive futuristic ships and weapons. It is worth noting that the plot does not play an important role, being only a background for entertainment.

For what is happening the player observes from above. The user manages the expedition members exploring dangerous places. The goal is to solve the tasks that the computer provides. Accident plays an important role. This applies to cards, goals and events in which you have to participate. There is also a set of special modifiers that allow you to improve team members or worsen the opponent's ability.

The game brings many elements related to card games. In the course of the development of events, the player receives objects - weapons, armor and other goods, they are represented by cards. Raising them, they fall into a deck, and they will be able to use during battles. If the card is not useful, you can refuse it. When the battle occurs, both sides alternately play one of their cards. The system is not too complicated - it is designed for quick and efficient operation, giving the player the ability to quickly move from one task to another.
