Dracula: The Vampire Strikes Back

DRÁSCULA: The Vampire Strikes Back is a classic point-and-click quest with a simple graphics and an abundance of jokes paroding the world famous Roman Bram Stoker. Initially, the game was released for DOS, but now it works on modern systems, and also received a translation into several languages. It has been created by a small company of developers from Spain, and has become one of the first quests created in this country.

The main hero is the British realtor named John Hacker. He arrives in Transylvania to help the count of Duscule with real estate sales. Fulfilling its work, real estate specialist detects a stolen girl in the castle named Bill Jane and makes the decision to save it from the vampire. The situation is complicated by the fact that the captive's brain needs a graph to create a monster, similar to the creation of Frankenstein, so it's so easy it will not let her go. The monster is part of the plan of the draskla to seize world domination. So the protagonist can perform two tasks at once: save the world and free a wonderful lady.

Gameplay here is typical for quests of the middle of the 90s. The player moves the character on pre-drawn scenes with a review from a third party, trying to solve puzzles and enters into dialogues with other characters. The most popular mechanic is used: a special menu is available to the player with actions (take, open, pull and t.D.). They can be applied to all interactive subjects, nor first need to find them. Puzzles are absent, the main emphasis is on history and humor. The main disadvantage of DRÁSCULA: The Vampire Strikes Back is a very short duration, the game is quite possible in a couple of hours from the first time.
