In Serious Sam Classics: Revolution, players are again taken under the control of a character who is an elite special forces fighter. We are talking about Ta-Um, ancient evil, led by an ominous mental, capable of threatening the earth in a distant future.

Later, Sam will also go to other parts of the world, such as Maya ruins, Central America, Persia and, finally, medieval Europe. In the game everything comes from the first person. Passing through extensive locations, the player is mainly engaged in shooting by the hordes of enemies, among which it will be possible to find both cannon meat in the form of skeletons or kamikaze without heads and more demanding opponents acting as bosses. For example, such are giant minotavras or ships. The authors provide an extensive arsenal of weapons - the player will twist enemies into dust using indispensable colts and thompson, as well as with the help of electric sprouts, shotgun or rocket installation.

In addition, numerous levels are replete with secrets. Against the background of previous parts, this stands out through new opponents, eight previously inaccessible stages and additional murder tools, such as Plasmagan and Mortar. Here you can fight both alone and in the company of comrades (via the Internet or on the split screen) - there is a cooperative mode, as well as Deathmatch and Scorematch. Available and completely new modes: Capture of the flag, command game and retention of the zone. In addition, the developers introduced a powerful editor to create mods on their own.
