The game has 4 historical campaigns that are divided into stages in history.

• To arms! This small campaign tells about the first crusade, held in 1094-1099. During the passage of this campaign, the player passes actual training;
• Saladin! All missions in this campaign are made according to the principle of siege type. At its disposal the player will have only the Arab army;
• Royal Cross Cam. The famous historical event, during which Friedrich Barbarossa, Richard Lion Heart and Philip Second. All of them were directed to Jerusalem at Saladin;
• Standard Wars Crusadsev. Here, as some barons, we will present players managed by computer intelligence.

The game separately develops military affairs, agriculture and resource mining. Food is mined on farms where fruits will be grown or divorced cows. There will be farms where your people will plant cultures, which can then be recycled in bread.

Army in Stronghold Crusader of two types: hired Arab soldiers and crusaders. The first hire exclusively for money and have lower properties than Europa troops. To hire crusaders, knights, crossbars and archers, for them will have to make bows, crossbows, swords, shields, spears and other things. Resources are mined in strictly reserved places. The quarry is located on the spot where there is a stone; iron in place where there is iron; oil where there is oil. There are many buildings in the game, including religious, which will increase your reputation as in the past parts of the franchise.
