Heroes of Might and Magic - the first part that laid the foundation for further projects and a popular step-by-step gameplay combined with strategies. The player enters the fictional world of Ent, where fantasy elements are inherent. On the extensive continent 4 ruler with its own fraction lives: Lord Morglin, Queen of Lamane, Leader Slaier and Koldun Alamar.

In the story campaign game heroes of sword and magic, the user can choose 1 of the 4 sides. Each fraction has a unique army, special central character's abilities and missions. Gamer can take advantage of magical abilities. Structure "Magge Guild" allows you to remember the hero of spells and pump its parameter "knowledge". Each skill is divided into 4 additional levels affecting its effectiveness.

In the free from battle, the gamer can explore the surrounding area, closed fog. In the district there are many neutral buildings and utilities capable of helping in sessions. Once in the battle, the user is transferred to the territory with a hexagonal grid of 5 per 7 hexagons. To lead creatures, combat units, with a different movement speed. This indicator allows them to react to 1, 2 or 3 cells.

There is a siege mode, dividing the location in two direction: an attacking catapult and a protective wall with a garrison tower. The use of spell and reduced martial spirit, warriors can miss the move as a siege tool. Characters are divided into classes: Knight, Magician, Barbarian and Warlock. Each of 4 heroes has unique abilities and skills, as well as subjected to pumping in one session.
