Actions unfold 60 years after the events of the Seventh Guest in 1995. The player finds itself in the image of the reporter of Charles Denning, the investigating the mysterious disappearance of his girlfriend and colleagues, Robin Morales, missing 3 weeks ago. Denning discovers a message on his laptop computer, where Robin asks for help.

The investigation leads Karl into a terrible mansion of the insane creator of the toy Henry Stauf. There, having solved all sorts of puzzles and exploring a huge house, the main character must reveal the case and save a girlfriend. The ending depends on the one of the 3 options proposed by the developers will choose a gamer.

Gameplay in the "eleventh hour" is standard for such quests: Gamer explores many rooms, interacts with various subjects and solves riddles. The assistant is a laptop computer Gamebook, which contains prompts and inventory.
