Normans Great Illusion

Norman's Great Illusion is a mixture of visual novels, a simulator of life, a game about politics and a text quest. There is a non-linear story with 7 endings. The time of passage depends on exactly how the story will end. The project often proposes to make a moral choice and face the consequences of difficult solutions. In the narration there are unexpected turns.

We play for a simple engineer. The hero works at the factory and feeds the family. Every day his day looks equally: breakfast, a trip to work, returning home, dinner, sleep. But a calm and stable life will soon be changed for the worse, when social injustice will grow in the country. Norman's Great Illusion actively criticizes capitalism.

The meaning of the game is to keep afloat when everything goes under the slope. In the indie project you can go to the elections, lose work, get into an accident, lose your wife with a child, join the Marxist Party, try to arrange a revolution, to show loyalty to the authorities and even die. Change of seasons is visually displayed on the city map. Driving processes on the settlement and work on the engineering position are implemented in the form of mini-games. If you fail the mathematical tasks in the factory, then the character will first be fined, and then fired.
