The visual side is made in retro style. The gameplay is focused on jumps on platforms and solutions of puzzles. Ghost can pass through the walls and fly. Alternate physical states to solve puzzles at the level.

Locations are thoughtful levels in which serious tests are waiting for you challenging logic and care. Each subsequent level in Ghostory offers new mechanics and complicated puzzles. The deeper you go to the cave, the more difficult the adventure becomes.

The plot takes its beginning on a mysterious lake when the main character drank out of it. It was a curse on it, which allows to turn into a disembodied shell. According to one witch to get rid of the curse, he needs to find a mushroom that grows in mystical dungeons nearby.
