In real-time strategy - Galactic Civilizations 2: Ultimate Edition - We have to see the history of the forerunner, once the most powerful civilization in the whole galaxy. Their power was determined in technologies, reasonable intentions and assistance to the rest of civilizations. At one point, the mind went so far that gray lords decided to separate from Arnors. The civil war began between the forerunners, where the first wanted to seize the world, and the seconds became the union with small civilizations.

Despite the fact that the strongest race ceased to exist as a whole, ten others took assistance from Arnors, and soon humanity - one of the races, invented the hyperdunger. Because of this perfection, people did not need energy gates to travel between galaxies, and people decided to capture long-range territories, receiving resources from them, as from colonies.

Each civilization has a common orientation, Lord and Tree Technology. At the beginning, you can choose one of 10 races, but soon, after the start of the intergalactic hostility, it will be known that the worst enemy is not a real opponent, but what is hidden in the Space itself.

Throughout the story campaign, you have to develop, collect resources, learn the closer than the rest of the Arnor allies who are distant even from the forerunner. Technological tree requires constant study. For example, your combat units will have more health, as well as an extended classification; Ships will turn fast flight technologies, new guns, lasers, atomic rockets.

In the game the main technological and military power is enclosed in space ships. They can be small, medium, large, fully military, trade and political. Your fleet must consist of vessels of all representatives so that you can quietly negotiate, fight and sell your resources.

The winner in the Galaxy will be the one who can destroy all opponents; become a cultural representative of the world; combine all races; reaches technological superiority and, as a result, immortality.
