Dear Esther

Dear Esther - Fascinating Adventure Game. The action unfolds on Hebride Islands, in particular on one of the uninhabited islands. You play for a nameless man who cleans his area. We are watching the events of the first person, there are no action, arcade sections or soloing puzzles.

Linear structure. The main character attending the nearest places on the island will find out about his secrets and reads letters who are addressed to Esther, his wife who died in a car accident. The narrator also mentions other people: for example, about Donnelly, who made the map of the island, and about the shepherd of Jacobsone, who lived on the island in the eighteenth century.

DEAR ESTHER does not explain to us all. It depends on us how we combine facts and how we make the final conclusion about the relationship between the island and the accident Esther. The Chinese room can be recharged, due to which we get access to new fragments of letters.

At the number of seats visitors enter the ruins of buildings, a broken ship or cave, the walls of which are covered with drawings depicting chemical formulas, neurons and bacteria. The main character is accompanied by a "mysterious" figure in the "struggle", which sometimes appears at a distance and disappears when he tries to be suitable for her.
