XCOM: Chimera Squad - Step-by-step tactical strategy, the plot of which continues the cult series of XCOM games. Events occur 5 years after the completion of the protracted war of humanity with the aliens. Paradise for people, aliens and their hybrids became the "City 31" - the center of scientific development and prosperity. It is its inhabitants that you have to preserve and protect.

The main story goal is the strategic management of the Himer combat detachment, consisting of fighters of all existing races: people, vipers, mutones, sectoids and hybrids.

With their help, assigned to the captured territories, investigating, control the crime level and the elimination of any threats opposing the universal world.

In the process of passing the gamer, 11 operatives are available, each of which has a unique character, battle style and a set of active skills. Part of the abilities fighters can learn in the process of pumping.

Combat gameplay is held step by step by moving heroes by cells on the field. This allows you to accurately plan the course of operation, minimizing damage to the detachment.

For a successful mission, you need to pay attention to:

• Protection of the selected position;
• combinations of skills involved in the mission of operatives;
• Possible risks for fighters;
• alternateness of moves;
• External factors (visibility, accuracy, distance to goal).

Due to the small size of the locations, the battles are held quickly and aggressively. For victory, the user receives resources, equipment or points for future operations. On the day, a squad "Chimera" can fulfill only one mission, from whose choice will depend on the speed of development of the plot or separate investigation.

In his free time, each operative may pass additional training, to engage in scientific research or heal the negative effect obtained in battle - "Scar".
