In the distant cosmos, on one of the starships in VVVVVV there is a strange accident. The ship is going to go through the measurement, but due to problems, teleport is mistaken. The whole team turns out to be divided and stretched along different portals. Only the Navigator of Violetta remains on the cosmol, from which the hero is associated - Commander Viridian. He goes to his ship, capturing a power key chain. The captain must fix a ridiculous error, save from dangers and collect the whole crew.

Next, the storyline develops on the basis of order and as characters rescued. In any case, it is necessary to get to the abandoned laboratory to find Victoria - Doctors, go to the teleport site zone and help the engineer named Verdigris, for Professor Vitellar to go to another station in space, and find vermillion. United with the first crew member, the guys will be transferred to the polar dimension and translate the newcomed to teleport. And so you need to do with each individual character.

Periodically, difficulties will occur, for example, to turn off the security system. When picking up the last member of the Viridian group will find a VVVVV measurement stabilizer, which caused the accident and turns it off. Commander gets into space and a team saves him from there. Together they decide to fix a faulty portal. In the final it is necessary to collect on the path of 20 keyfobs that will help correct the portal. By activating teleport, the group falls on a secret base where research records are stored, which was conducted above the VVVVVV and methods of its recovery.

In the process, the player will be able to explore the open world, where full traps and tremendous enemies. Protagonist will be without a weapon, and one touch to the enemy brings death. The only thing that can do the hero is to jump and change the gravitational vector. The hero is able to walk on the ceiling to avoid meeting with the enemies.
