The Way

The Way is a pixel 2D platformer made in retro-style and connects the elements of the action and puzzle.

Sci-fi history begins on Earth, in a completely unexpected place and under strange circumstances. The main character, a man named Tom, is located in the cemetery, where hesitates about his deceased beloved. And then digs her body, steals a corporate starship and goes back to the distant corner of the Universe to continue the expedition case, withdrawn many years ago.

In his journey, Tom hopes to get not only a way to return his beloved into the world of living, but also get an answer to the eternal philosophical question "What is the meaning of life?".

Gameplay gives us due to such famous predecessors, such as Flashback, Another World or Heart of Darkness. Each level is a large open location in which the keys and switches are in the opposite side of the door and the parties. In addition to quite friendly or neutrally configured aliens, the player on the new planet is celebrating aggressive monsters and drones - guards. Even fauna or relief obstacles may be fatal for the main character.

Almost every battle is a separate game mechanic - the use of pistols or ingenious alien devices, building a series of platforms for passing over the abyss and much more.
