Star Wars: Dark Forces

Star Wars: Dark Forces - a single retro-shooter from the first person. He is the historical beginning of all shooters in the cult series about the confrontation between the dark forces and legendary Jedi.

The plot tells us about the adventures of the legendary mercenary Kyle Katarn, who joined the ranks of the rebels after the betrayal of the Empire and the mysterious loss of the father. Now his main task is to steal the drawings of the death superophage "Stars of Death" and get useful information about unknown "dark attack aircraft". Actions are based on the events of the film "Star Wars: Episode IV: New Hope", revealing the characters of already known characters and complementing the overall history of the franchise.

At one time, the shooter created a revolution in the industry, adding the possibility of vertical motion of the camera, alternative firing and multi-level locations. To pass the story history, the user must shoot enemy droids, imperial officers and aliens, solve simple puzzles and move forward on an extensive dance. Ten species of weapons are available to the gamer (laser rifles, blarses, grenades, ion guns and mortaries). In its path, the user is limited by three lives, which can be replenished only with rare items.

The story is served by typical for a series of text inserts and small animated cat-scenes. Star Wars: Dark Forces also added an atypical location variation, a variety of missions and a collection of scene subjects for the games of that time.
