Indi-project Motherland tells about tragic events immersing in an atmospheric adventure in a chaotic developing world, mired in epidemic. The user will have to take the role of a tourist stuck in a period of dangerous situation in someone else's country. You have to sit down at home, postponing familiarity with the cultural program. Return to the native state will not work, due to overlapping borders. The game is filled with the spirit of the post-apocalypse, carrying into the world of forever gloomy and gray tones.

After a long stay in a closed room, Motherland's protagonist tries to get out. Feeling that health is worsening, you will have to get out into the street and find a pharmacy. The main task is to study locations that allow you to feel the mood of hopelessness and sadness, absorbing the character in the coming dark times. The provincial town is filled with various objects of interest attracting a foreigner who dreams closer to learn the customs and architectural heritage of the post-Soviet space. The plot part develops nonlinearly, depending only from the actions and decisions of the player. You can meet intriguing and colorful personalities that move at an affordable surroundings. The world free for study by the user, free to go anywhere and filled with panel houses, with an infinitely drawn feeling of longing.
