Metal Slug 2 - an action-adventure created in the genre "Run and shoot". Continuing the events of the first part, where the player becomes a member of the Sapsan special division. The team receives a retribution for a re-battle with General Morden, insidious and evil person. He returned to the world with new subordinate and powerful army to conquer control over the planet.

Compared to the previous part, the user receives control over two new characters: Fiumilina Jermi and Erie Casamamo. The first mission is presented in the form of learning, where the gamer will learn how to shoot, run and apply special features of the ward. After completion of the first operation, it is found that the enemy general enlisted the support of the Martian civilization. In the last level it happens that aliens betrayed Morden, and he will join a detachment with central characters. They will need to repel the attack of Martian and protect the planet.

Added new arms "laser", able to eliminate several rivals in one line at once. Also, the energy beam with ease breaks the protection on armor vehicles of the enemy. Managing the tank, the user can apply armor-piercing charges of direct action, instantly destroying opponent's technique. Will be faced with fictional enemies, like mummies, fat men or monsters. Each enemy has a special skill, for example, the mummy can shut down the heroes, because of which they become slower in all directions.
