METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Substance

Plot Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance continues the previous part. After dramatic events, Philanthropia was created, secretly sabotizing all projects based on Metal Gear Rex. One of the most serious projects is a completely new model of the machine, transported on board the tanker USS Discovery, following New York Manhattan.

During the official visit of the President of the United States to the giant wastewater treatment station, the terrorist organization led by Salidus Snayer, known as the "Son of Freedom", taking the head of state to hostage. It requires 30 billion dollars, threatening to destroy the production, which will lead to a large-scale environmental disaster. Roy Campbell sends an agent to the Raiden code name agent, the purpose of which is to save the president and prevent serious consequences.

The plot looks the same as in the original version, but the game was expanded at the expense of additional modes and options. The player will be able to participate in more than three hundreds of basic missions and two hundred alternative. You can take control of both Raiden and Salid Snake, and usually the goal is to imperceptibly reach the desired point. The developer also implemented a number of missions performed in FPP mode: Pitchflow mode, Weapon Application Mode, Mixed Mode, Photographing Mode, Retention Mode, Bombs Decarming Mode and Destruction Mode. An interesting option is Snake Tales, where the player takes control of Snake and performs the tasks of Rajen in Big Shell or vice versa - as a gray-haired Jack you need to travel on the deck of the tanker USS Discovery.
