I Hate Running Backwards

I Hate Running Backwards is a hybrid of action and roguelike. The camera in this game is located at the top. The gameplay is as follows: the hero constantly runs and shoots off crowds of opponents. From time to time he participates in mini-games and receives new passive skills. The main feature of the project is that the character is at the top of the screen, and the enemies are pressing from below. The shooter always moves with his back forward.

I Hate Running Backwards is set in the Serious Sam universe. Indie project uses locations, enemies and sounds from this iconic series of arena shooters. There are also references to other video games and even characters from them. There are 12 heroes in total, which differ in the amount of health and speed. Serious Sam himself is here too. According to the plot, he, along with other cool guys, falls into the space-time continuum. Now they all need to destroy ugh-khan to get out of the trap. Fighters are unlocked as various conditions are met. Warriors carry primary and secondary weapons. They can also use bonus cannons and apply special skills.

All locations are randomly generated. The environment on them is destructible. About 40 types of guns in the title. Among them there are shotguns, lasers, machine guns, rocketans and other trunks. All of them "Eat" Cartridges. They can be strengthened by picking up bonuses. There is a local multiplayer for two. In cooperative mode, users will need to share with comrades ammunition. Each character has a melee weapon. With its help, you can not only destroy monsters, but also reflect enemy shells. The enemies themselves are represented by headless kamikaze, mechs, scorpions armed with machine guns and other creatures familiar from games about Sam. There are boss battles here too.
