Locations were recycled in this version. Extra opponents appeared, mini bosses and glazers. Grind has become more meaningful. The crafting system allows not only to create equipment, but also to build new data or redo old. The combat system of the original was also redone.

Fights in HyperDimension Neptunia Re; Birth1 occur in step-by-step mode. In battle participates a maximum of 3 warriors. Another trinity of characters can act as support. Participants of the fight can freely move around the battle field. All receptions have its own lesion zone. Command members can be used to perform super strikes and change at any time. History spins around rivalry 4 countries: Planeptun, Lastechean, Linbox and catch. Each state has its own CPU-goddess: Neptune, Noir, Ver and Blanc. The main heroine is the first girl in the list. Once the rest of the girls combine against it and literally throw off from heaven to Earth. When falling, it loses memory and divine shape. She will go on a journey to return the forces, acquire allies and encounter evil forces.
