Extinction: Alien Invasion is an isometric shooter in which aliens become enemies who attacked planet Earth with the aim of total destruction of all living beings. There is an opportunity to take part in a single destruction of enemies, or in co-op behind one monitor screen, provided that the second user will use a gamepad. Dynamic gameplay is provided by the fast movement speed of both the virtual protégé and enemy units, which raises the degree of tension in shootouts. The right mood is created by a properly selected soundtrack, consisting of rock compositions from different years.

Due to the presence of role-playing elements, the player needs to pump his own protagonist, adding new abilities to him, increasing ammunition, increasing strength and endurance, and much more.
