Descent: Freespace - The Great War - Simulator in Open Space with Echen Elements. In many countries in Europe, Taitle was published under a sign under Conflict: Freespace - The Great War. The plot tells about the distant future of 2335, when the galactic earthly union switched to the state of war with the parliamentary Vasudan empire.

The gameplay is built on space battles with a view from a starship cabin with a huge number of interface and various configured, imitating shuttles and fighter panel.

The game is represented by 4 races:

• Earthlings - spread throughout the galaxy, after the interstellar movements were opened, which allowed them to become colonizers in many corners of the universe;
• Vasudan - People from the planet WASUDA Prime. They are sophisticated philosophers, artists, poets and advocate all kinds of high art, while being very arrogant;
• Shivani - Space destroyers who erased the universe many races and peoples. They relate to the species of xenocides.
• Ancient - Race, once dominant on the galaxy expanses, but disappeared about 8,000 years ago.
