The hero falls into the center of the zombie apocalypse and some miracle survives. Now he needs to resist the army of the living dead, using many firearms and melee weapons. The whole arsenal has a scale of power and exposure to the enemy.

The player will move through the extensive territory, performing various quests and instructions from the surviving NPC. The main task will not only survival, but also search for survivors. Protagonist collects many resources, including money, water, provisions and much more. There is a stamina scale. She is spent for any perfect action, whether weapons, running or jumping.

As you pass Dead Island 2, new locations will be opened for research, where new quests and heroes will be presented. Killing undead and fulfilling the mission, the hero gets experience points that can spend on extra abilities. A total of 3 development branches are presented: rage, possession of weapons and survival, allowing to regenerate and replenish health faster.
